George and Mildred è una sitcom britannica prodotta dalla Thames Television trasmessa dal 1976 al 1979. Era uno spin-off di Man About the House e aveva come protagonisti Brian Murphy e Yootha Joyce nei panni di una coppia sposata male assortita, George e Mildred Roper. La premessa della serie vedeva George e Mildred lasciare il loro appartamento come raffigurato in Man About the House e trasferirsi in un moderno complesso residenziale di lusso. Il loro arrivo fa inorridire il loro vicino snob Jeffrey Fourmile, un agente immobiliare che dispera che la presenza dei Ropers possa svalutare la sua casa. È stato scritto da Brian Cooke e Johnnie Mortimer. Come molte sitcom dell'epoca, anche George e Mildred è stato trasformato in un film, dedicato all'attrice Yootha Joyce, morta improvvisamente nel 1980, proprio mentre il cast non vedeva l'ora di registrare una sesta serie.

George tries to cover up the fact that he lost Mildred's puppy by replacing it with a lookalike, but all goes awry when the police bring home the original dog.

George threatens to sue when Jeffrey accidentally causes him to fall by moving the ladder as George attempts to fix the TV aerial.
My Husband Next Door
While the Fourmiles are away, George and Mildred decide to get their house decorated by professionals... but the interior designers accidentally redecorate the Fourmiles' house...
Family Planning
Mildred's mother visits, but the family believe that she is too old to look after herself and decide to place her in a home. However, George unexpectedly takes Mildred's mother's side and asks her to stay with them.
